This image comes from Mother’s Day 2025 when I brought my medium format film camera to North Ga to document the day. My sister-in-law’s neighbor has a little horse far and they had 3 horses at the time. 2 of them weren’t letting me get close enough to get a photo but this one luckily allowed me to approach until the loud shutter on my RZ scared him away. I love the atmosphere this image brings as it’s not overly candid yet not “perfect” either. Kodak Gold is a pretty film to sue when it’s overcast as it mutes the tones slightly creating this dream like color palette.
