Sanaseri Family

This year I began a photo essay centered on my friend’s family, the Sanaseri family. I’ve always been fascinated by different cultures, and as they shared stories about Persian traditions and the incredible food, my curiosity grew. Eventually they invited me over to experience a homemade Persian meal and learn more about their roots. Both of my friend’s parents fled Iran during the 1970s and began new lives in the United States, carrying with them the heritage and warmth that now shape their family’s story.
